The Audition Workshops with Beverly Blanchette, Retired Dean of Theatre, Dreyfoos School of Arts

Learn how to market yourself for any type of audition: performing arts middle & high schools, colleges & conservatories, community & professional theatre, film, and television. Discover the business of the business: everything you need to know about agents, headshots, resumes, cold readings, and the slate – even how to dress! All levels of actors are invited to participate – from beginners to experts. Work at your own pace. Theatre Audition Workshop – Middle School Theatre Audition Workshop for Middle School preparation taught by the former Dreyfoos Theatre Department Dean, Beverly Blanchette. 1 day only! Learn everything needed for any type of performing arts audition! Participants should arrive dressed in clothing that will allow movement without exposure (shoulders, chest, midriff, and legs should be completely covered. Closed-toe shoes, preferred.) All materials will be provided. Sunday 10:00am – 1:00pm 9 and up January 12, 2020 January 12, 2020 $125.00
Theatre Audition Workshop – High School (and beyond) Theatre Audition Workshop for High School (and beyond) preparation taught by the former Dreyfoos Theatre Department Dean, Beverly Blanchette. 1 day only! We will be focusing on learning everything needed for any type of performing arts audition! Participants should be dressed in clothes they can move in and should be prepared to work on two memorized 45-second monologue (from a published play,) 16 measures of two Broadway songs with recorded accompaniment, or a prepared technical/design project. Please bring a clean, printed copy of the material to be performed. Sunday 1:30pm – 4:30pm 13 and up January 12, 2020 January 12, 2020 $125.00
